WEIGH-IN 7th AUGUST: -0.6 kg / 1.3 lbs

This is picture proof that I went jogging this morning. I have the day off work, but Ruben is at nursery so I can have some "me time" and so I went for a morning run. I envy those people who manage to run and still look effortlessly glam and sexy. I just have to face it - it just ain't gonna happen!

A smaller loss this week, and I won't lie - I know why. I haven't exercised as much as I did the week before. I had friends round for dinner one night and went way over on my cals that day, but one day out of 7 shouldn't make a big impact in the grand scheme of things. It's not as if I went totally overboard either, we are talking 2000 kcals instead of my usual 1400; even that out over the week and the average daily intake is still 1500, which should equal roughly a 3500 kcal deficit over the week, which again should lead to a loss of about 0.5 kg / 1 lb - which it did. So no surprises there really, it is all happening according to the book.

I think toddler-wrestling should be classified as a form of exercise in its own right by the way.

Wow. I just hopped over from your craft blog. I need to lose a whole lotta weight too, more than the slabs you've got listed on there. Hehe.

I will have to come back and go through your many posts. I know there;s lots I can learn from here. Thanks for sharing your fight!

I still think you look super cute, even after your run. And, yes, owning a toddler I do think wrestling those wriggly little things is a form of exercise!

that's how I look when I run. =) I hate those glam girls who just "glow" when they run. I look like death and people ask me if I'm ok. seriously.

Hey Petchy! You are looking fab! Keep up the good work! I am in the same boat - only my boat sinks a little more than yours. You're an inspiration! I know this is going to sound like an advertisement (it's totally not)...I just bought a device called GoWear Fit. It's an armband that measures all of your activity (including toddler wrestling) and can tell you how many calories you have burned. I haven't gotten it yet, but I can't wait! I think that seeing how many calories I'm burning will motivate me to move as much as possible. Anyway, love your crafting and photos. Your son is SUPER cute! Thanks for being a good influence and long-distance "diet" buddy! :)

Great post-run glow! I never thought of providing evidence of exercise - may photo the big blister that's developed with my increased walking - that will out-do the red face! Love your blog - keep it up. Ripepear
